Hitched

Jeff and I were married April 9, 2010. It was the most amazing, love-filled, giggle inducing day of my entire life. Months of planning came together perfectly and I couldn't have wished for a better day.

We were having an evening ceremony/reception and we wanted as much time together as possible so we bucked tradition and *gasp* saw each other before the ceremony. It was a lovely moment where the world quieted and all I could think about was his handsome face.
{Putting on the finishing touches}

{Here I come!}

{I think my squishy face says, 'you look so handsome'}

{I had been waiting all day for this kiss}

{Never gonna let him go}
Our ceremony was short and sweet, sincere and honest. We asked a friend of ours to do a reading, but we wanted it to be a surprise. He chose "Oh the Places You'll Go" by Dr Seuss. It was awesome and so 'us'. We hired a sax/guitar duo to play jazz standards while our guests waited. I walked down the aisle to "At Last" and we exited to "The Raider's March" {or the theme song from Indiana Jones}.
{My handsome groom}

{Couldn't see anything through my tears}

{Goodbye papa}

{I have no idea what was so funny}

{Could not be happier than this exact moment}

Immediately following the ceremony we went into cocktail hour. It was a great opportunity to mingle with guests and take some great pictures. Doing our photos before the ceremony really afforded us the extra time to say hello to every single guest.
{Hugs for everyone!}

Our reception started with a BANG {literally!}. We danced our first dance, ate a delicious dinner and toasted our new lives together. We all danced the night away and when the venue kicked us out at 1am the party continued at the hotel.

{Yes, dancing lessons do pay off}

{Mr & Mrs Robot}

{So tired/sweaty/happy}

And that was our wedding. Even though it was only a year ago it feels like a million years. We took all our photos {well the ones we really liked} and made them into a coffee table book, by using Blurb.com...now was can look back on them whenever we want to!
